As youths across Nigeria continues to protest to end police brutality, LiveBridge Foundation joins with all those affected and wishes to extend a hand of encouragement and support to those questioning reforms that mitigate and frustrates development in Nigeria.
As a community that is genuinely concerned about the welfare of humanity and also leverage the use of innovative tech solutions for delivering her core humanitarian objectives, we want to lend a voice to everyone who is protesting against police brutality. We stand in solidarity with the relentless young Nigerians protesting both online and offline.
We understand your grievances and plight as some of our members have personally or know someone who has tales of police brutality and extortion, perpetuated by SARS, in the last few years.
Our people do not deserve to live in fear – no one can build, contribute, or innovate if they don’t feel safe.
We are proud of everyone putting their voices, resources, and time into the movement, we commend you for your admirable show of strength, resilience, and determination as we believe the protest is only shining light to one of the many issues, amidst other things such as pending government policies, infrastructure, academia, etc that mitigate growth in Nigeria.
The #EndSARS campaign has shown the power of the Nigerian youths, our collective strength, and passion to stand for what is right for the progress of our nation. Hence, we will leave you with this “the pains of adversity are often the birth pangs of change.”
