An initiative known as The Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme for Africa (YESA) was created to meet the future through present-day troubleshooting by providing unemployed youths with tools and skills to address real-time problems, as well as establish and run a successful business venture with the aim of protecting the youths against modern slavery and immoral activities because youth trying to survive poverty tend to be vulnerable to exploitation, therefore, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills.
This program has produces 35 youths/ direct beneficiaries so far who have been empowered through; Funding for their startup businesses as well as business registration done by Livebridge Foundation.
“Training/workshops were also provided by our partners/facilitators who are certified entrepreneurship trainers from international institutes, with many years of practical business experience, exciting and impactful facilitation styles and unique methods of training delivery, through excellent coaching, the use of action learning and other innovative means,” said the Coordinator.
He also said the program was designed in such a way were beneficiaries attend the compulsory training/workshops on Human resource practices, Project management, Finances & organizational development, Business etiquettes, Computer appreciation/skills, and communication skills.
Through this initiative, long-term social networks will be built empowering youths to stay connected and collaborate with their communities, strengthens ties, and lays the groundwork for lifelong relationships and strategic partnerships.
There is a need for our generation to achieve greatness and make a positive impact without sacrificing future generations in Nigeria and this can be done through empowerment and collaboration.
